Privacy Policy

datawirefra.me ("we", "us", "our") builds a dashboard wireframing tool for data and BI teams. This page explains what information we collect when you use our website and app, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

We collect the minimum data needed to run the product and keep it improving — we do not sell your data.

Account & wireframe data — if you create an account or wireframes in the app (app.datawirefra.me), we store the information you provide (such as your email address) and the content you create, using Supabase as our database and authentication provider.

Newsletter — if you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address solely to send you product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Usage analytics — we use Vercel Analytics (cookieless) and PostHog to understand how visitors use this website and the app: pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from IP, and device type. On this website these events are anonymous — we do not create a stored profile for you unless you sign in to the app.

Contact — if you email us directly, we retain that correspondence to respond to you and keep a record of the conversation.

To respond to support requests you send us.

We use local storage to remember your theme preference (light/dark) and layout choice.

PostHog, our analytics provider, sets a first-party cookie scoped to .datawirefra.me. It holds a random identifier and no personal information. It is scoped across the subdomain so that a visit to this website and a later visit to the app (app.datawirefra.me) count as one person rather than two — which is how we understand which articles are actually useful to people who go on to use the tool.

We do not use tracking cookies for advertising, and we do not sell or share this data with advertisers. You can opt out by enabling Do Not Track or blocking analytics in your browser; the site works normally either way.

When you comment on a dashboard, we store what you wrote along with your name, email address and profile photo as your identity provider gave them to us — so that the people you are working with can see who said what. Anyone who can open that dashboard can see them.

When you invite someone to a dashboard, we store the email address you invited so we can recognise them when they sign in. Removing the invitation removes it.

Using the assistant sends your request, and a summary of what is already on the page, to Anthropic so it can answer. If you have supplied your own Anthropic API key, that request is billed to your account and passes through our server without being stored or logged. If you use the built-in assistant, it runs on our key and spends a credit from your plan.

We record that a generation happened, how long it took and how many tokens it used, so we can size and price the feature. We do not keep the text of your prompts.

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run this site and app: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Supabase (database and authentication), PostHog (product analytics), Anthropic (which processes the prompts you send to the AI assistant, only when you use it), and Lemon Squeezy (which is the merchant of record for paid plans and handles payment and tax). Each processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security practices.

We do not send your payment card details anywhere ourselves — they go directly to Lemon Squeezy and we never see or store them.

We keep account and wireframe data for as long as your account is active. Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe. Deleting your account removes it all immediately — see Your rights below.

You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, at any time, from Settings → Danger Zone in the app. It happens immediately and cannot be undone: your dashboards, folders, comments, AI credits and preferences are removed, share links you own stop working, and your email is taken off the newsletter.

You can export your wireframes as JSON, PNG, PDF or a build specification from the app at any time, which covers the right to data portability.

You can also request access to, or correction of, your personal data by emailing gabriel@cybermetrie.ca, and we will respond as quickly as we can.

datawirefra.me is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date below.
