ARR movement, cohort retention, and product adoption across three pages. Includes the ARR bridge every board asks for and the note on why it costs more to build than it looks.
9 elements carry a spec note: the grain of the chart, where the number comes from, what the filter applies to, what happens on click. They open in the editor and travel into the exported build spec, so whoever builds it in your BI tool reads the same thing the stakeholder signed off. Three of this template's:
ARR movement
New, expansion, contraction, churn as stacked bars either side of zero, with net ARR as a line. This is the single most requested chart in SaaS reporting and the hardest to model. Budget for it.
Cohort retention
Cohort down, months since signup across, retention in the cells with a colour scale. A matrix, not a table. In Looker Studio this needs a pivot table with a heatmap style.
Months to payback
CAC divided by gross-margin-adjusted ARPA. Say "gross margin adjusted" on the page, because the unadjusted version is roughly 30% rosier.
Analysts and RevOps teams at subscription businesses building the board metric set, where new, expansion, contraction, and churn have to reconcile to net.
